BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT

Hey Fam,

I come to you with good news. Yes, good news! It’s easy for us to be overcome with emotion when we receive bad news, but have you ever experienced being overcome with emotion when you receive good news…like at the announcement of a birth? Oh the joy and rush of emotions that floods your mind and heart. I always find it interesting to see/hear baby announcements and the rush of emotions people experience whether you are closely connected to the person making the announcement or not. Most people see it as a reason to celebrate and be filled with joy. For a moment, nothing else seems to matter, you aren't consumed by overwhelming thoughts of what the future may bring, and you gladly share your good news with those you love.

Well, imagine the birth announcement of Christ our Savior being born. It was good news for some, but for others it was not so good news (well at least some think and still think till this very day). Now let’s put this out there. Yes, we know that the day many in society chooses to celebrate and honor the birth of Jesus Christ is not Jesus’ actual birth date. However, don’t miss the reason for why some CHOOSE to celebrate getting lost in proving a point. Back to the announcement.

LUKE 2:10-14

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Christ our Savior was born. Guess what? You have received the BEST GIFT ever given to man. You have received the gift of LOVE and have been redeemed. Find joy in knowing that through Christ you can be born again. Congratulations in advance on your BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT! Tis the season for new birth announcements. AND WHEN IT HAPPENS…SHARE YOUR GOOD NEWS WITH THOSE YOU LOVE AND FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE. Merry Christmas and Happy New Birth! Welcome to a new beginning in Christ.

Talk to you soon,

Ky
